Save Games for Two Worlds II

This archive contains numbered save games for the Steam version 1.3.5. The game
was completed on the "Easy" difficulty setting. Before embarking, I took a peak
in the GamePressure game guide to see which skills mattered the most.

Two folders are present in the archive. The one for AppData contains a settings
file for the user which may or may not be necessary. If the save games doesn't
seem to show up in the game, try using this file. On Vista or later, this is:

  C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Two Worlds II\[folder\folder\file]

Be careful that you're not overwriting an existing file. You may want to backup
this file before you try. But first, try the save games without it. On Vista or
later, the save games should be located like this:

  C:\Users\[your name]\Saved Games\Two Worlds II\[74 files]

I played 100% Warrior, putting close to all points into Endurance and Strength,
ending up at 71 + bonus for Endurance and 100 + bonus for Strength. For skills,
please see for yourself by loading a save game. I primarily used a two-handed
sword (set 1), plus a two-handed blunt weapon (set 2) for e.g. Necris. I also
had a staff ready (set 3) but I don't think I ever used it apart from the usual
fooling around in the tutorial to see what's what. I also didn't bother about
upgrading the dagger as I didn't sneak much (except when part of a quest). Note
that I dual wielded in the beginning until I found good two-handed weapons.

I was very thorough about dismantling stuff and upgrading armor and weapons. It
should be up-to-date no matter what save game you load. The gems may be lacking
a bit, though. I used the slots, but didn't level the combining skill much.

At a later time when I thought money was no longer a problem, I bought the home
in Hatmandor. You can see when because I named a save game accordingly. Inside
to the right, there are two wardrobes. In the first I placed all documents and
books that the game wanted to part with, and in the second I placed weapons and
armor. Later in the game, I put gems and potions in a cupboard in the corner.
Much later I also bought the home in New Ashos but I never used it for storage.

Although I went strictly Warrior, I was sensible enough to place a lot of other
kinds of armor and weapons in the wardrobe in the house. If you plan on using
the save games to play e.g. a mage, you should find some good stuff there. I've
also read all the skill books I found. And remember you can use an NPC called
a "Soulpatcher" to reset your attributes and make a different build.

A personal teleporter was of course placed close to the home in Hatmandor as
soon as I bought it. Other than that, I placed 2-3 in far away spots such as on
certain islands (one of them close to the boat).

So I almost didn't use magic at all, and I also used alchemy sparingly - merely
creating two kinds of potions - for waterwalking and to cure poisons. I don't
think I needed to cure poison more than once, but the waterwalking potions were
quite useful for exploring around islands.

I completed 99% of quests I found, including the quest chain for exploring ten
Archpriest tombs. At least two quests bugged, however. The quest "Tricky Timmy"
failed its 20 minutes counter because Timmy never spawned in New Ashos on the
bench where he was supposed to. And the quest with three toll ghosts in sewers
failed because I couldn't get the step where they agreed to check the mirror.
If you use a save game prior to these quests, I hope you have better luck. The
quests with a timed horse race annoyed me so much that, although I managed to
complete it in the second attempt, I wanted no more of that. For this reason I
skipped the horse racing quests offered by the guy south of Bayan.

I opened all the chests I found that was legal - i.e. in dungeons, empty houses
and so forth. I didn't bother in houses with people to avoid getting arrested.
So if you're into crime, there's a lot of chests to be emptied still.

After completing the last end fight, I explored the last area a bit as well as
the island close by. This didn't affect gear and stats much. At the end I was
level 42, with 9645 hit points and 217522 auras (i.e. money).

I hope you find the save games useful and have fun playing.
